You’re right on about Washington. I’ll bet Greene (I still have trouble properly typing his first name – my finger muscle memory doesn’t allow it) can match his production carrying (though I don’t know about his pass catching ability) and they already signed Justin Miller to return kicks and I’ll bet he’ll be one of the better kick returners in the AFC.

Yes, and people fail to remember that Eddy Curry and Jared Jeffries become assets as their contracts expire after next season.

A few years ago, the Celtics were a bigger joke than the Knicks, but the opportunity to package expiring contracts with picks and young players to acquire stars presented itself. Now they’re a perennial contender.

I agree with that. To me regardless of wether they can even get LaBron or Wade, a full rebuild was in order, and the only way to do that was to clear out the salary off the roster, even if it costs them a year or two, thats what rebuilding is. You see it all the time in baseball and no one complains.

And the other distrubing this about Barkley, if you read the Daily News link Ted provide about the DWI, it states that Barkely was seen partying at a club with “ex-Giants star Michael Strahan and Jaleel White, who played the nerdy Steve Urkel on the sitcom “Family Matters.”

WTF are Strahan and Charles Barkely doing partying with Seve Urkel? Is this a joke?

RE: Barkley and recent Knicks bashing

Experts thought the Knicks “had talent” and were “improving” under Isiah prior to their 23 win embarrassment two seasons ago. SI even picked them to get in the playoffs! That team was littered with awful contracts and players that didn’t fit well together.

This team has 60% of that payroll and has a load of players that actually fit D’Antoni’s system well. They’re coming off a 32-win season and have acquired two solid defensive players in Darko and Douglas! There’s no reason to bash them; they’re headed in the right direction, even if Lebron and Wade stay put (which I feel they will).

There's an SNY shop, but it doesn't have polos. There might be some in our merch closet, but I can't help you there. I'm no longer permitted access after letting our interns play supermarket sweep in there last year.
