Yeah, I don’t think anyone does care. Like I said when it happened, a bunch of people wrote things like “cue the sportswriter sanctimony,” but very little actual sportswriter sanctimony followed.

i can see wondering why the reaction to lincecum’s pot smoking is inconsistent, and i would be curious about any double standard among various athletes, but i’m more shocked that anyone still cares about anyone at all smoking pot. not endorsing it and i at least understand where people are coming from that want to keep it illegal but morally? how is it any worse than getting drunk? how does anyone give a crap if any athlete gets effed up in any number of different ways? all i care about is if he preforms in athletic events for my amusement. unwind on your own time however you please, none of my business.

Someone please tell me that Bengie Molina was just re-signed by the Giants, because all of this Molina talk has got me down. He’s 100%, unadulterated, overrated veteran flotsam and I’m not entirely sure he’s any better than Omir Santos at this point.
